MESA PARENTS
Parental involvement is crucial to the MESA
student success. It is our intent to make parent
involvement active and purposeful to help students
achieve their goals. Since the parent is the
child's first cheerleader and role model, MESA
will help parents provide additional support
and encouragement to MESA students.
The joint forces of MESA parents, MESA Center
Staff and the MESA Advisors will certainly strengthen
our commitment to teach MESA students success
in education.
ANNUAL PARENT CONFERENCE
Every year, the Southern California MESA
Region hosts a MESA Family Conference. Last
year's MESA Family Conference was held at
University of California, Irvine. Examples
of workshops that were held are: What is MESA,
College Awareness, Financial Aid for College,
MESA Day Activities, MESA Success Stories,
and many more. Many of the workshops and seminars
were held in Spanish to further ensure that
the information can reach even more parents
who are concerned about their children's future.
Upcoming regional parent conferences will
be announced once location and date are determined.
