Chino Hills State Park Snapshot
With 11,000 undeveloped acres of rolling hills, Chino Hills State Park is a prize to any outdoor enthusiast. Picnic areas allow daytime visitors to get away to a naturally beautiful environment away from the surrounding cities. 60 miles of trails allow hikers, equestrians, and bicyclists the opportunity enjoy beautiful views of native southern California oak woodlands, grasslands, and riparian areas, as well as views of the surrounding urban areas and mountains. Campgrounds allow overnight visitors to appreciate the serenity of the night, broken only by the croaking of the frogs, the hooting of the owls, and the howling of the coyotes.

Chino Hills State Park is home to many native animals of southern California, including deer, coyote, mountain lion, bobcat, and many birds, reptiles, and amphibians, some of which are listed as rare or endangered species. This park, and the resources contained within, are vital to the protection of several of these species.
This unusual resource needs protection. We are all aware of the threats that over development, pollution, waste, and misuse pose on the natural environment. You can become involved in the process to protect the native southern California environment by becoming a member of the Chino Hills State Park Interpretive Association.
Your membership and involvement with the CHSP Interpretive Association can help to ensure the continued prosperity and growth of this vital resource. Please take time to consider membership. By contributing now, this resource will continue to thrive.
Membership in the Association entitles you to receive our quarterly Calendar of Events. The calendar will keep you up to date on the activities scheduled in the park. More importantly, your contributions will help fund the many important projects within the park.
